Mr. Walters is Vice President - Finance of Kestrel Resources, Inc.  He has over twenty-five years experience in industry and Big Five public accounting with primary emphasis in energy related businesses.  Responsibilities as Vice President - Finance are to direct the accounting department including financial statement preparation, management reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

 

Prior to joining Kestrel Resources, Mr. Walters served as Controller for Pueblo Midstream Gas Corporation.  Mr. Walters was responsible for all accounting and financial functions.  Before joining Pueblo Midstream Gas Corporation, Mr. Walters was Corporate Controller of United Advertising Publications where he was responsible for financial statement preparation, corporate consolidations and accounts payable.

 

Previously Mr. Walters was Controller for the Society of Petroleum Engineers.  At SPE he was responsible for the accounting of the company’s trade shows, publications and corporate accounting.  Prior to joining SPE Mr. Walters served in various accounting functions with Remington Oil & Gas, Louisiana Land & Exploration and NERCO.

 

Mr. Walters spent six years with Price Waterhouse as an auditor.  Responsibilities involved auditing public and private corporations with an emphasis on oil and gas exploration clients.

 

Mr. Walters received a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Oklahoma, is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
